Agreement

These terms cover your use of this site, which is operated by Teach BIG Writing Academy (Teach BIG), 3502 Columbia Memorial Pkwy, Kemah, TX 77565. By using the site, creating an account, placing an order, or registering for an event, you agree to these terms.

If you are using the site on behalf of a school or district, you confirm you have permission to agree to these terms for that organization.

Accounts

Accounts are available for teachers, parents, students, and admins. Student accounts are created by a school or teacher, and students sign in through their teacher's class. You are responsible for keeping your sign in information private and for activity under your account.

Schools and districts may hold licenses that grant access to groups of teachers or students. Access granted through a school or district license ends if that license ends.

Store and payments

Purchases are processed through Stripe on our store pages. Card details go directly to Stripe, and we never store full card numbers. Sales tax is calculated by Stripe Tax where it applies. You will receive a receipt by email for each purchase.

Prices are shown in US dollars. If a price is listed in error, we will contact you before completing the order.

Digital downloads and slide decks

Digital downloads and slide decks are licensed to the purchaser for use in the purchaser's own classroom. Slide decks are viewed in the site's slide viewer, and purchased downloads are available through your account.

You may not resell, redistribute, share, post, or upload purchased materials for use by others who have not purchased them, except that sending a parent letter home to the families of students in your own classroom is permitted where the material is designed for that purpose.

Refunds

Digital products are generally non-refundable once downloaded. If you have a problem with a purchase, contact us at welcome@teachbig.com and we will work with you.

Retreat and conference cancellations

The Writing Academy will allow cancellation of Ranch and Kemah Retreats 7 days prior to the customer's scheduled retreat date. If the customer would like to cancel within 7 days of the scheduled retreat, the full cost will still be required. However, substitutions will be allowed up to the day of the retreat. Please contact the office at 281-549-4466 regarding cancellations and substitutions.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. This includes attempting to access accounts, courses, decks, or downloads you have not been granted, interfering with the operation of the site, or using the site in a way that violates the law.

Content and ownership

The instructional content on this site, including courses, decks, downloads, songs, and games, is owned by Teach BIG and protected by copyright. All rights are reserved. Your purchase or license gives you the right to use the materials as described in these terms, and no ownership is transferred.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
