We believe that great instruction should not be limited by the availability of resources in a particular language.

Teachers who provide instruction in Spanish should have access to engaging, purposeful instructional materials that help them develop the same important literacy skills addressed in English-language classrooms.

Our Spanish-language collection is being developed to support the essential elements of literacy, including reading comprehension, written communication, editing, revising, critical thinking, and meaningful assessment.

We also recognize that bilingual and dual-language classrooms are wonderfully diverse. Some students are developing academic Spanish while learning English. Others are strengthening their home language, building literacy in two languages, or learning to transfer knowledge and skills between languages.

These students are not simply learning two languages. They are developing two powerful pathways for thinking, communicating, connecting, and understanding the world.

That is something worth celebrating!

Our commitment is to help educators build on those strengths through meaningful instruction, accessible resources, actionable feedback, and opportunities for students to demonstrate what they know.

Resources Designed to Make a BIG Difference

We are building an expanding collection of Spanish-language instructional materials, digital tools, assessments, and family resources designed to support educators and students in Grades 3–5 and beyond.

Here are some of the exciting resources already available or in development:

Spanish Editing Slide Decks — Grades 3, 4, and 5: Eleven months of instructional slide decks for each grade level, designed to support consistent, purposeful editing instruction throughout the school year.

FREE Spanish Editing Scope and Sequence — Grades 3–5: A helpful planning resource to guide instruction, organize editing expectations, and support teachers in building skills progressively.

FREE Spanish Reading Language Arts Teacher Guide: A resource created to support educators as they navigate Spanish reading and language arts instruction.

Bilingual Family Packets: Learning materials in English and Spanish that strengthen the school-to-home and home-to-school connection, including a free Spanish sample.

TBASE in Spanish: Our writing assessment and feedback platform supports Spanish-language prompts, directions, and feedback in a side-by-side presentation, along with read-aloud support and a Spanish-language family writing report.

ONSTAGE in Spanish: Spanish-language reading passages and questions that provide opportunities for students to practice, demonstrate understanding, and strengthen essential reading skills.

Spanish Diagnostics in The VAULT: Diagnostic resources to help educators identify student learning needs and make more informed instructional decisions.

Pennington — ¡Hablo Español!: Our helpful digital assistant can respond in Spanish when users select the Español button, making instructional support more accessible.

Spanish Reading Passages (Lecturas) — Grades 3, 4, and 5: Reading materials that provide opportunities to build comprehension, vocabulary, evidence-based thinking, and meaningful language connections.

Spanish Editing Workbooks: Student resources designed to provide structured editing practice, beginning with Grade 3, which is currently in its final review stage.

We also believe that families are among the most important partners in a child's educational journey.

For many Spanish-speaking families, supporting academic learning can become challenging when instructional expectations, assessment feedback, or school resources are available only in English.

We want to help close that communication gap.

By providing bilingual family packets, Spanish-language writing reports, and other accessible resources, we hope to make it easier for parents and caregivers to understand what their children are learning, recognize their progress, and participate confidently in their educational success.

A parent should not have to speak English fluently to understand a child's academic strengths, celebrate accomplishments, or help build a love for reading and writing.

When schools and families can communicate, collaborate, and celebrate learning together, children benefit.

The language spoken at home should be a bridge to academic success, not a barrier to participation.

Our Spanish-language resource collection will continue to grow as we expand our instructional materials, assessments, digital services, and support for bilingual and dual-language classrooms.
