Our purpose is to empower teachers with a clear path for teaching writing, and empower students to turn their thinking into clear, confident, purposeful written communication.

The Writing Academy® Trifecta brings together daily teacher lesson plans, daily student interactive workbooks, and matching daily lesson slide decks in one coordinated instructional system. It is the training, the tools, and the technology working together to take the guesswork out of teaching writing. Instead of spending valuable time piecing together materials, teachers can focus on what matters most: helping students grow.

The teacher lesson plans provide the what, why, and how of each lesson, with clear teaching language, modeling, and purposeful guidance. The student interactive workbooks put that learning into students’ hands as they organize ideas, gather evidence, explain their thinking, and develop their writing. The lesson slide decks bring instruction into view through shared examples, visual support, and guided practice. What teachers teach, what students practice, and what the class sees stay connected through consistent passages, strategies, and daily learning goals.

Built around focused, 15-minute daily lessons, the Trifecta makes the journey from prompt to finished piece manageable and meaningful. TEKS-aligned instruction helps students develop a thesis, support ideas with evidence, explain their reasoning, and revise and edit with intention. Each lesson builds on previous learning, helping students understand not only what strong writers do, but why their choices matter.

This is about more than completing an essay or preparing for a test. It is about developing students who can think deeply, communicate clearly, and use writing with growing independence, in the classroom and throughout their lives.

The digital version is an interactive workbook completed on the computer. Game pages have a special PRINT button so those pages can be printed for physical play.

Buying the digital interactive student workbooks gives the assigned teacher a complimentary Teach BIG Teacher Dashboard. The teacher can track student progress, assign pages to individual students or to the whole class, and receive work the students submit.

Dashboards stay active through the end of the school year. A student's dashboard follows that student from year to year so progress can be monitored. Each book is for one grade, so a student needs the book for that grade.
